Professional Experience

Counseling Experience

I have worked on inpatient and outpatient hospital units, for crisis hotlines and in private office settings with adults, adolescents, families and groups.  My counseling style combines several therapeutic theories including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems theory, modern analytic theory, interpersonal neurobiology, art therapy, group therapy, EMDR, and mind-body awareness.  Additionally, I have presented a number of psychoeducational trainings for clients and other counselors.

Business Experience 

My experience includes over 20 years of U.S., International and Nonprofit experience in Consulting, Information Systems, Finance, Product Management and Technical Support.  I have worked for small, medium and Fortune 500 companies and have extensive experience with cross-functional teams.


My education includes a Master of Arts (MAC) degree in Counseling from St. Edward’s University in Austin, and an MBA from the University of Texas in Austin with a concentration in Information Systems.   I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Texas.  I have completed additional studies in Art Therapy and am also proficient in French.
